Rootwork Foundations
Start Where the Elders Started.
Rootwork Foundations is the front porch of the school. Before oils, before candles, before any working — there is the land, the people and the prayer. This course sets that ground under your feet.
You will learn what Hoodoo and Southern conjure are and are not, how the tradition traveled through families and communities, the role of prayer and the ancestors, and how to approach the work with respect instead of curiosity alone.
By the end you will know how to set up a simple working space, how to speak your intention plainly, and how to begin keeping a record of your own practice.
